The teacher training is an opportunity to bring your studentship to the next level, refining your practice and fine-tuning your understanding to develop your authentic voice as a teacher. It is a comprehensive training for experienced students who want to pursue teaching and current teachers who want to deepen their knowledge base. Students come away with a strong foundation in the philosophy of yoga, skill in seeing and adjusting poses, an ability to articulate pose instructions clearly and succinctly, and language skills to inspire students to express their poses from the inside out. Students who successfully fulfill the requirements fo the Teacher Training will receive a Certificate of Completion from YogaKula. All classroom hours count toward yoga certification. The training program also meets RYT-200 standards.

Darcy Lyon (MA, MFTi, RYT) is a Certified Anusara teacher and Expressive Arts therapist. After many years studying dance and theater, Darcy fell in love with the grace and intelligence of Anusara Yoga in 1998. Reflecting an exuberant playfulness and passionate love for movement, her classes are based in Anusara’s Principles of Alignment which support body, mind and heart to live with deep strength, wisdom and ease. Students can expect a non-competitive environment where we all support each other towards our personal best.
In 1996 Darcy formed her company: Heartfire Arts (www.HeartfireArts.com) for her work with healing, hope and transformation. She has been hired by the Federal Emergency Management Association to create a puppet show for traumatized children, developed a yoga program for an eating disorder clinic and developed a six month intensive that blends yoga and psychology. Siri Peterson:I met my first yoga teacher, Gurumayi Chidvilasanda when I was 11 years old, and I’ve been a devoted yogi ever since. I am deeply honored to share the practices of an ever-evolving yoga tradition. As a certified Anusara (R) yoga instructor, E-RYT 500, I’ve completed over 3000 hours of teacher trainings, and I continue to celebrate the method’s capacity to heal through alignment.
