Spring Restorative Workshop: Hot Stones and Aromatherapy

Spring is a time when the earth transitions from a period of hibernation into a season of re-birth and renewal as we watch life around us begin to stir and reawaken. As spring flowers begin to pop up from the sleepy winter ground, we can find inspiration in these cues of Mother Nature to grow the seeds inside ourselves, to look ahead, formulate new ideas, make decisions and take action. Just as these new flowers need soil, rain, and sun to blossom, we too must care for our most basic needs in order to flourish.

Restorative yoga is a powerful and therapeutic practice that uses props to support the body combined with guided meditation to encourage stillness of the mind. Immerse yourself in this three-hour seasonal workshop experiencing a combination of gentle yoga poses, guided meditation, aromatherapy and hot stones. During the practice, you will cultivate a deep sense of relaxation to soothe and cleanse your nervous system, boost your immune system and deepen mind/body awareness. Emerge with a sense of renewal and connection, better prepared to take on the challenges of the season.

Cost: $30 before 3/04 — $35 after

About the teacher:

Anne began her journey with yoga and meditation in 2008. After relocating from New York City to San Francisco in 2012, she decided to share her passion for yoga with others. She is a certified E-RYT-200 and RYT-500, having completed her 200-hour teacher training at Yoga Tree in San Francisco and her 500-hour teacher training with her teachers Brenna Geehan and Jean Mazzei at Sri Yoga.

Anne believes yoga has the power to transform one’s life from the inside out, providing students the tools to bring strength and ease into their lives to confidently face whatever life experiences come their way. Her mission as a teacher is to hold space for students to go deeply inward so that they can cultivate a stronger connection to self. Anne believes that through this connection students can find their own unique power and expression of joy within the world. Her classes emphasize mindfulness, alignment and a strong connection to breath in order to build strength, flexibility, and mental clarity.
