AUTUMN YOGA DAY RETREAT: BALANCE, TRANSFORMATION, & RENEWAL WITH LEILA SWENSON (IN-PERSON)

Retreat and restore yourself in our urban yoga oasis in the heart of Berkeley for a rejuvenating Autumn day of yoga practice, teachings, and community connection!

Our Yoga Day Retreat will include:
Opening circle: Welcome and introductions
Purifying vinyasa practice with attention to the core and a variety of balance postures
Nourishing break for lunch/snacks and option to enjoy the garden patio, walk to Live Oak Park, etc.
Learning and chanting together the Purnamadah mantra from the Upanishads
Discussing balance, habits, and change through yoga teachings and their application to our lives
Restoring postures, silent meditation, and deep relaxation
Closing circle: Gratitude and reflections
Recommended to bring:
Yoga mat (if you do not have one you can borrow one at the studio; props are also available at the studio as needed)
Comfortable clothes to practice in, as well as layers to adjust to personal body temperature preferences
Eye pillow (or soft piece of clothing/small towel to cover the eyes)
Journal/notebook and pen
Water bottle and/or cup for hot tea (hot water and tea bags will be provided, or feel free to bring your own favorite tea)
Snacks and/or lunch (we have a little fridge if you need to put something in there)
Open mind and kind heart

LEILA SWENSON, E-RYT 500, is a joyful, kind, and inspiring Vinyasa teacher, whose classes flow naturally from the heart. Her yoga studies began in 2000 at the Himalayan Institute, and she has been teaching full-time in the SF/Bay Area since 2010.
